Remember Who You Are

The day everything changed.

Threshold is a 3-day immersive retreat for people living in the in-between, still searching, still feeling the weight of that moment. Not to talk about it. To understand what it was always trying to tell you.

The philosophy

Your emotions are not the problem.
They are information.

That information creates stories. Those stories form your identity. And somewhere inside that identity is the person you were before the day everything changed — still there, waiting to be remembered.

Creativity is the bridge. Not therapy. Not a framework. The part of you that paints, moves, writes, builds — that's the part that knows the way back.

The weekend — Remember Who You Are

Three days. Five movements.
One return.

Day One: The Moment

You don't talk about THAT day. You find the feeling of it. Through music, movement, and creative expression you locate the emotion. Not the story. The sensation. And begin to translate it into something you can see.

Evening One: The Message

That feeling was a message. You choose a song, your song, and speak to it. Raw. Unpolished. The emotion was a language. Tonight you learn to read it.

Day Two: The Identity

The story that emotion created became an identity. Is it true? You see the gap between who that moment made you believe you were, and who you actually are. The identity was a survival mechanism. The real self is still there.

Evening Two: The Authorship

You are not the character in the story. You are the author. You create something: a song, a poem, a painting, a letter. Not explaining what you learned. Making something that is what you learned. The room bears witness. This is your coronation.

Day Three: The Return

How do you stay the author when you leave this room? You build your own daily creative practice, your personal bridge back to yourself for when the world pulls you out again. You leave with your own anchor. Your own equilibrium.

"What happens now?" The question my daughter asked after beating cancer. It became the whole philosophy.

About the guide

This is studies and lived experience applied. That's it.

While my daughter was going through chemo, I taught her to stay curious. To ask "what happens now?" instead of spiraling into fear. To visualize. To honor each moment with intention. She beat it. And when she came out the other side and asked me "what happens now?" I realized that question was the whole philosophy.

Everyone suggested therapy for me. Instead, I chose to live what I teach. I didn't tell my daughter what to feel. I just helped her remember who she was. And what came next was hers to write.

About the guide

The work begins with a single step.

Threshold accepts a small number of participants each weekend. If something in these pages has found you, we invite you to take that step.
